Are any of you asking this question with me? “Where has the summer gone?” It seems like we were just having our last week of Sunday School and now it’s time to gear up for a new time of renewing our minds with God’s Word. Rally Day is fast approaching! Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 9 at 9:00a.m. followed by a wonderful worship service with music led by David Paul Britton and a potluck meal to follow. I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful day filled with Koinonia (Christian fellowship). Please remember to bring your children’s backpacks to church with you! Pastor will be blessing your children and their backpacks as they get ready for a new school year.
Our Sunday School will be divided into two classes again this year, ages 3-7 will be with me and ages 8—confirmation age will be with June McCarty and Karen Siebarth. This year my class will be concentrating on the New Testament and using Arch books as the main text for our lessons. I will be sending home a list of the Arch books we will be using so that you can add them to your family’s library at home if you’d like to. They are all available through Concordia Publishing House. You can check them out on-line or I would be happy to order them for you. They do a wonderful job of telling the stories in a way that is easy to understand for the children and stay true to scripture while doing it. We will have a good time learning God’s Word, singing songs, and doing fun art projects, all helping to teach our precious little ones to hide God’s Word in their hearts.
I am always available for any questions, sharing resources for family ministry, or just to chat! My phone number is 517-902-6052 or I can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
In Jesus, our Prince of Peace,
